This is the first time I’ve ever made or used hybrid icing. I wasn’t sure how it was going to work, as the consistency mixing it, was so different from my regular Royal icing. Nevertheless, I made it and used it. I love how the flood was so smooth. I iced a spare cookie as I wanted to see how the icing behaved when painted. It was great. No pitting at all. I’m so glad I bought this recipe. I tagged Sueded Sugar with the results of my painting. I’ll definitely use this, particularly for painted cookies. Cathy Imray, #bakeitbeautiful4u
I just made this icing and love everything about it. I struggle with air bubbles but this recipe gave me minimal air bubbles. Brittany is absolutely correct that the shine is incredible and the bite is so soft. So glad I gave this recipe a try. Thank you Brittany for all your contributions to the cookie community. I have now made it three times. It got great reviews from everyone who tasted it, and I loved decorating with it. Using one bowl is also a big plus. This will now be my go to royal icing.
I wish there were links to some of the ingredients like the Mexican vanilla. I can't seem to find that anywhere.
